We are hiring a Supervisor within our Portal Services IT team.
Responsibilities in your area will include:
- Design, code, test and deliver insightful and architecturally sound business solutions on high complexity work
- Document code and projects so others can easily understand
- Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from team members and check the quality of their work
- Show insight; know your application design & data; offer simple, working solutions
- Apply team coding, documenting and testing standards and recommend process improvements
- Assign development tasks to team members and track progress
- Perform code reviews
- Approve deployment activities
- Recognize upstream and downstream impacts; communicate effectively (verbally & in writing)
- Learn the Business Process Your Application Supports so your code will better support the business
- Improve your application and team processes
- Decrease incidents and increase uptime of your application
- All other duties as assigned
- Attendance as required by department
Who Are We Looking for?
Our ideal candidate for this role needs to:
- Supervise, lead, and support Portal Service team members
- Help senior leaders understand, filter and prioritize work requests
- Propose, adopt, and enforce standards to grow the systems adoption and usability with the users
- Ensure the systems uptime and performance meets user needs
- Ensure sensitive data is appropriately secured
- Minimize production support incidents
- Lead activities of Developers and Analysts
- Demonstrate advanced skills while coaching and mentoring less senior team members and direct reports
